Big Spot Survey Review
This will be a review of Big Spot Survey, which claims to be a paid survey site. You likely found yourself here after seeing BigSpot.com advertised on Tv or the internet? If so go ahead and pat yourself on the back for being wise enough for doing your research before giving away your personal information. But the question remains is Big Spot Survey legit? Read Living Cheapy's complete review of this company and decide for yourself. What Is BigSpot.com?
BigSpot.com is a free to join a site that connects you to surveys. However do not actually offer any surveys themselves. Any survey you may do on Big Spot will be done on a 3rd party website that is not associated with BigSpot.com in any way.
Is Big Spot Survey Legit Or A Scam?
In one sense, BigSpot.com is a legit site, however, in an another sense, they are a scam. What I mean by this is they do all the things they say the do, and maybe more. BUT, they use very carefully worded advertising that gives you the impression they are something they are not. For instance, they make them selfs sound like a survey company right? Well, they aren't actually. Big Spot Survey is just basically a survey portal site, that only connects you to actual survey sites that pay you. BigSpot.com never pays anyone for anything. They also state they never give away your information without your permission. Which is true BUT in order to take advantage of their service of connecting you to any surveys, they ask for permission to give away your data. In my mind even though this is not technically a scam. In most people's minds, this gross misrepresentation of what Big Spot Survey is would indeed be recognized as being such. How does Big Spot Survey Work?
To get started with Big Spot Survey you will go to bigspot.com and fill out a short form requesting your Email, Date of Birth, Gender, Ethnicity, and Country. After you enter your information and click on "Join Now" you will then see a page with a list of survey sites. In my case when I joined I was given a list of 3 sites.
Including: I Say, GlobalTestMarket, and Toluna
All three of these sites are completely aboveboard and are well know survey sites that have been around for some time. With that said I was quite disappointed with this list given I was already a member of two of these survey panels and the other I knew about just had not joined. I guess if you have never heard of any of these survey panels maybe this connection could be useful to you. With that said they could just have easily made a site with one paragraph post stating these are neat survey sites that you should join and give you the 3 links. And if they did that I would be completely ok with Big Spot. But making this super hyped up site instead, only to give you next to no value makes you feel betrayed and lied to.
Big Spot Survey Scam Verdict
Although I would never recommend this site to anyone, mainly because the site offers almost no value to its users. Big Spot Survey site is technical a legit site so don't freak out if you have already signed up for this site. I assure you will be fine.
Tip: If you did join this site I do hope you used a secondary web address made specifically for money making sites. Honestly, there is no such thing as a paid survey site that does not spam your email.
With that site I still would not waste your time joining giving the value of this site can be summarized in 3 words I Say, GlobalTestMarket, and Toluna. Big Spot is likely getting a referral commission on top of the revenue they are getting with your info. Referring people to sites you use yourself is fine in my book, so I am not knocking that. But Big spot should be upfront about what they are doing.
